The Yahara District serves Eastern Dane County, part of Columbia County and part of Jefferson County. We have over 1,000 dedicated adult volunteers serving 3,001 youth members in 88 units. Yahara District volunteers are proud of their commitment to Scouting program. The mission of the district is to support the Scouting units within its boundaries.Yahara District program activities include: Camporee, Cubfest, Klondike, Winterfest, and the Yahara District Pinewood Derby. Yahara District Roundtable Picnic Yahara District Roundtable Picnic June 2, 2010 6 p.m. at Firemans Park was Fun! Thanks and have a great summer! See you all at camp and -

Council Super Roundtables on Aug. 11, 2010 in Prairie du Sac (this was changed from the Aug. 12th date) or Aug 19, 2010 at Camp Indian Trails.

Yahara District Roundtables: Usually the first Wednesday of the month, except July and August. Location: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5602 Irongate Drive, Madison, WI (Google Map link). Commissioner's meeting at 6:30 pm. Roundtable announcements starting at 7 pm, followed by breakout sessions. June's meeting is usually a picnic held at a local park - click for more info. All leaders are welcome to join us for these monthly gatherings where Scouters exchange ideas, get information and help, and enjoy fellowship. Photos from April Roundtable.

Youth Protection Training: Yahara District will offer two sessions of classroom Youth Protection Training here at the Scout Office Monday night, July 19th, 2010 at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. If you would like to join us and get this done in a classroom setting rather than online, please respond to Dennis Erickson at the council office with the time you will attend. The training committee will be setting up additional training opportunities or you can take this training online at your convenience. More info. about Youth Protection Training requirement changes.
